On 2 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasília hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and Father’s Day of 5 December 2025, at Villa Rizza Event Space in Brasília. The event was presided over by H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, with Ms. Susan Kleebank, Secretary of Asia and the Pacific, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Brazil, as the Guest of Honour. The reception was attended by more than 200 guests from the Brazilian public and private sectors, the diplomatic corps in Brasília, local media, and members of the Friends of Thailand group.

The Ambassador paid tribute before the royal portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and the royal portrait of His Majesty the King. She then commenced the ceremony by inviting the distinguished guests to observe a moment of silence in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, followed by the screening of a tribute video and a joint standing tribute during the playing of the Royal Anthem of Thailand and the National Anthem of Brazil.

On this occasion, the Ambassador delivered a speech in honour of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, highlighting their lifelong dedication to the well-being of the Thai people. She also emphasized the longstanding and smooth diplomatic relations between Thailand and Brazil, which have continued for more than six decades and encompass multifaceted cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels. Brazil is regarded as a strategic partner for Thailand in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The Ambassador then invited the distinguished guests to join her in a toast to His Majesty the King and to the continued strengthening of Thailand–Brazil relations.

Ms. Susan Kleebank, Secretary of Asia and the Pacific, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Brazil, as the Guest of Honour, delivered remarks congratulating Thailand on the three significant commemorations, while reaffirming that Thailand is an important partner of Brazil in Southeast Asia and on the global stage.
