On 28 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, presided over and delivered remarks at the reception on the occasion of Thai Armed Forces Day 2026, hosted by the Office of Military Attaché in Brasilia at the Brasilia Air Force Club. Approximately over 150 people attended the event, ranging from representatives from the Brazilian Armed Forces, ASEAN Ambassadors to Brazil, defense and military attachés from various countries, to Friends of Thailand.

Before the ceremony began, Ambassador Kundhinee and all participants observed a moment of silence in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother of Thailand, followed by a commemorative documentary in Her Majesty’s honor. On this occasion, the Ambassador addressed the significance of Thai Armed Forces Day in honouring the dedication and sacrifices of service personnel in preserving Thailand’s sovereignty and national security, as well as their contributions to humanitarian operations in the country.

The Ambassador further reaffirm Thailand’s long-lasting commitment to the international law and principles of the United Nations Charters. This has been reflected through Thailand’s proactive diplomacy to advance multi-dimensional and multi-directional foreign policy, anchored in the multilateral systems and rules-based international order. The Ambassador also highlighted on cordial diplomatic relationship between Thailand and Brazil, which spans over 67 years, covering tangible cooperation in many areas at both bilateral and multilateral levels, for example, political cooperation and exchanges of visits, economic, trade and investment, culture, green transition, technical cooperation, defense cooperation, and international cooperation against online scams under the context of the International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams, co-hosted by Thailand and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Bangkok in December 2025.

Em 28 de abril de 2026, S.E. Sra. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Embaixadora da Tailândia no Brasil, presidiu e discursou na recepção em comemoração ao Dia das Forças Armadas Tailandesas de 2026, organizada pelo Escritório do Adido Militar em Brasília, no Clube da Força Aérea de Brasília. Aproximadamente 150 pessoas compareceram ao evento, incluindo representantes das Forças Armadas Brasileiras, embaixadores dos países do ASEAN no Brasil, adidos militares e de defesa de diversos países e amigos da Tailândia.

Antes do início da cerimônia, a Embaixadora Kundhinee e todos os participantes observaram um minuto de silêncio em homenagem a Sua Majestade a Rainha Sirikit Rainha Mãe da Tailândia, seguido da exibição de um documentário comemorativo em honra de Sua Majestade. Na ocasião, a Embaixadora destacou a importância do Dia das Forças Armadas Tailandesas como reconhecimento da dedicação e dos sacrifícios dos militares na preservação da soberania e da segurança nacional da Tailândia, bem como suas contribuições para as operações humanitárias no país.

A Embaixadora reafirmou o compromisso duradouro da Tailândia com o direito internacional e os princípios da Carta das Nações Unidas. Isso se reflete na diplomacia proativa da Tailândia para promover uma política externa multidimensional e multidirecional, ancorada nos sistemas multilaterais e na ordem internacional baseada em regras. A Embaixadora também destacou a cordial relação diplomática entre a Tailândia e o Brasil, que se estende por mais de 67 anos, abrangendo uma cooperação concreta em diversas áreas, tanto em nível bilateral quanto multilateral, como, por exemplo, cooperação política e intercâmbio de visitas, economia, comércio e investimento, cultura, transição verde, cooperação técnica, cooperação em defesa e cooperação internacional contra golpes online, no contexto da Conferência Internacional sobre a Parceria Global contra Golpes Online, coorganizada pela Tailândia e pelo Escritório das Nações Unidas sobre Drogas e Crime (UNODC) em Bangkok, em dezembro de 2025.

Reception on the occasion of Thai Armed Forces Day 2026

On 30 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, presided over a ceremony to commemorate His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of Coronation Day, 4 May 2026, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasília. Officials of the Embassy, together with the Thailand Team in Brazil and their spouses, attended the ceremony in unison.

On this occasion, the Ambassador performed the ceremonial opening of the floral offering set before the royal portrait of His Majesty the King, delivered remarks extending best wishes and loyal felicitations, and led the officials and their spouses in signing the book of well-wishes in honour of the occasion.

Kundhinee Aksornwong, Embaixadora da Tailândia no Brasil, presidiu a cerimônia em homenagem a Sua Majestade o Rei por ocasião do Dia da Coroação, celebrado em 4 de maio de 2026, na Embaixada Real da Tailândia em Brasília. Participaram da cerimônia, de forma conjunta, os funcionários da Embaixada, a Equipe Tailândia no Brasil, bem como seus cônjuges.

Na ocasião, a Embaixadora realizou a cerimônia de abertura do conjunto de oferendas florais diante do retrato oficial de Sua Majestade o Rei, proferiu uma mensagem de felicitações e lealdade, e conduziu os funcionários e seus cônjuges na assinatura do livro de votos de felicitações em honra à data.

A ceremony to commemorate His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of Coronation Day, 4 May 2026

On 24 April 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasília, in collaboration with MIKAMI, a store specializing in Asian food products and seasonings, including Thai products, organized a Thai cooking demonstration to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of MIKAMI.

During the opening ceremony, H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, congratulated MIKAMI on its 43rd anniversary and commended the store for its role as a source of quality Asian products, as well as for its important contribution to promoting Thai ingredients and food products to a wider audience in Brasília.

The Ambassador also highlighted the longstanding and close cooperation between the Embassy and MIKAMI, including the store’s participation in Thailand’s National Day reception on 2 December 2025, as well as the organization of this event.

During the event, the Embassy conducted live demonstrations of Thai dishes, namely Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken Green Curry, and Bua Loy, in order to showcase the charm of Thai cuisine, which is internationally renowned. Participants were also given the opportunity to learn how to prepare these dishes using Thai ingredients available at MIKAMI.

Em 24 de abril de 2026, a Embaixada Real da Tailândia em Brasília, em colaboração com a MIKAMI, loja especializada em produtos alimentícios e temperos asiáticos, incluindo produtos tailandeses, organizou uma demonstração de culinária tailandesa para celebrar o 43º aniversário da MIKAMI.

Durante a cerimônia de abertura, S.E. Sra. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Embaixadora da Tailândia no Brasil, felicitou a MIKAMI pelo seu 43º aniversário e elogiou a loja pelo seu papel como fonte de produtos asiáticos de qualidade, bem como por sua importante contribuição para promover ingredientes e produtos alimentícios tailandeses a um público cada vez maior em Brasília.

A Embaixadora também destacou a longa e estreita cooperação entre a Embaixada e a MIKAMI, incluindo a participação da loja na recepção do Dia Nacional da Tailândia em 2 de dezembro de 2025, bem como a realização deste evento.

Durante o evento, a Embaixada realizou demonstrações ao vivo de pratos tailandeses, nomeadamente Pad Thai com camarão, Curry Verde de Frango e Bua Loy, com o objetivo de apresentar o encanto da culinária tailandesa, reconhecida internacionalmente. Os participantes também tiveram a oportunidade de aprender a preparar esses pratos utilizando ingredientes tailandeses disponíveis na MIKAMI.

Thai cooking demonstration to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of MIKAMI

On 23 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, was invited to attend the seminar entitled “Dialogue on Copperation: Brazil - Asia - Pacific Priorities and Perspective”, organized by the Superior Court of Justice of Brazil, at the Court’s headquarters in Brasilia. In attendance were the Brazilian senior officials, namely the President of the Superior Court of Justice, Secretary of Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreing Affairs of Brazil, Brazilian Ambassador to ASEAN, Brazilian Ambassador to Indonesia, Brazilian Ambassador to Japan, and diplomatic corps in Brasilia, namely the group of ASEAN Ambassadors from the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (or ACB), and Ambassadors or representatives from the ASEAN Dialogue partners. 

This seminar served as a platform to strength cooperation between Brazil and Asian countries, including those from Central Asia and ASEAN, in multifaceted areas with emphasis on economic cooperation, sustainable development, food security, and energy transition. 

Ambassador Kundhinee also took this opportunity to exchange views with the aforementioned participants on geopolitical issues and regional cooperation, while affirming Thailand’s commitment to advancing proactive diplomacy which is adhered to multilateralism and rules-based international order for sustainable peace.

Em 23 de abril de 2026, S.E. Sra. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Embaixadora da Tailândia no Brasil, foi convidada a participar do seminário intitulado “Diálogo sobre Cooperação: Prioridades e Perspectivas Brasil - Ásia - Pacífico”, organizado pelo Superior Tribunal de Justiça do Brasil, na sede do Tribunal, em Brasília. Estiveram presentes autoridades brasileiras de alto escalão, como o Presidente do Superior Tribunal de Justiça, a Secretária da Ásia e o Pacífico do Ministério das Relações Exteriores do Brasil, o Embaixador do Brasil para ASEAN, o Embaixador do Brasil na Indonésia, o Embaixador do Brasil no Japão, e membros do corpo diplomático em Brasília, incluindo o grupo de Embaixadores da ASEAN do Comitê da ASEAN em Brasília (ACB), além de Embaixadores ou representantes dos países Parceiros do Diálogo da ASEAN. 

Este seminário serviu como plataforma para fortalecer a cooperação entre o Brasil e os países asiáticos, incluindo os da Ásia Central e da ASEAN, em diversas áreas, com ênfase em cooperação econômica, desenvolvimento sustentável, segurança alimentar e transição energética. 

A Embaixadora Kundhinee também aproveitou a oportunidade para trocar opiniões com os participantes mencionados sobre questões geopolíticas e cooperação regional, reafirmando o compromisso da Tailândia em promover uma diplomacia proativa, pautada pelo multilateralismo e por uma ordem internacional baseada em regras, visando uma paz sustentável.

Seminar entitled “Dialogue on Copperation: Brazil - Asia - Pacific Priorities and Perspective”

On 15 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Patrick John U. Hilado, Ambassador of the Philippines to Brazil, on the occasion of his assumption of duty in Brasilia. 

Both sides exchanged views on international issues, including geopolitics, energy security, and multilateral cooperation particularly under the frameworks of ASEAN and the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (ACB) to further strengthen ASEAN-Brazil relations.

Em 15 abril de 2026, S.E. Sra. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Embaixadora da Tailândia no Brasil, recebeu uma visita de cortesia do Embaixador das Filipinas no Brasil, S.E. Sr. Patrick John U. Hilado, por ocasião de sua posse em Brasília.

Ambos trocaram opiniões sobre questões globais, incluindo geopolítica, seguridade da energia, e a cooperação multilateral, particularmente no âmbito da ASEAN e do Comitê da ASEAN em Brasília (ACB), visando fortalecer ainda mais as relações entre a ASEAN e o Brasil.

On 17 April 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasília organized a Songkran celebration under the theme “Once in a Lifetime: Experience Songkran in Brazil” to mark the Songkran Festival, the traditional Thai New Year, while promoting Thai culture, traditions, and national identity to members of the diplomatic corps, government agencies, media representatives, and friends of Thailand in Brazil. More than 50 guests attended the event.

During the opening ceremony, the Ambassador highlighted the significance of Songkran as a tradition that reflects cultural and family values, serves as the Thai New Year, and represents an important element of Thailand’s Soft Power that has gained international recognition through its inscription on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2023.

The event featured a variety of Thai cultural activities, including the traditional Buddha Bathing Ceremony for blessings and good fortune in celebration of the Thai New Year, tastings of Thai cuisine, desserts, and herbal beverages, a showcase of royal Thai traditional costumes, as well as Ramwong dancing and Songkran water festivities. The celebration created an atmosphere of joy, warmth, and smiles throughout the event.

Em 17 de abril de 2026, a Embaixada Real da Tailândia em Brasília organizou uma celebração de Songkran sob o tema “Once in a Lifetime: Experience Songkran in Brazil”, para marcar o Festival de Songkran, o tradicional Ano Novo tailandês, ao mesmo tempo em que promoveu a cultura, as tradições e a identidade nacional da Tailândia junto a membros do corpo diplomático, órgãos governamentais, representantes da mídia e amigos da Tailândia no Brasil. Mais de 50 convidados participaram do evento.

Durante a cerimônia de abertura, a Embaixadora destacou a importância do Songkran como uma tradição que reflete valores culturais e familiares, marca o Ano Novo tailandês e representa um importante elemento do Soft Power da Tailândia, que recebeu reconhecimento internacional por meio de sua inscrição na Lista Representativa do Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade da UNESCO em 2023.

O evento contou com diversas atividades culturais tailandesas, incluindo a tradicional cerimônia de banho do Buda para bênçãos e boa sorte em celebração ao Ano Novo tailandês, degustação da culinária tailandesa, sobremesas e bebidas herbais, uma apresentação de trajes tradicionais reais tailandeses, além de dança Ramwong e festividades aquáticas de Songkran. A celebração criou uma atmosfera de alegria, acolhimento e sorrisos durante todo o evento.
