On 28 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, together with Ms. Tipaporn Attasivanon, First Secretary, visited the city of Foz do Iguaçu, located in the state of Paraná, in the south of Brazil. The Paraná state’s economy is known for its tourism, hydropower and agriculture.

On this occasion, Ambassador Kundhinee had a meeting with Mr. Petterson Gherlandi, Director of International Relations of the Municipality of Foz do Iguaçu, at the Municipality’s Office. Both sides exchanged views on how to jointly promote cooperation in areas of sustainable tourism management, and people-to-people exchange through education. Moreover, the Ambassador also took this opportunity to have technical visits at the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam, in order to learn more about Brazil’s expertise and best practices in renewable energy development, and environmental conservation. Her Excellency was warmly welcomed by the executives together with the technical staff of Itaipu.

Em 28 de agosto de 2025, Sua Excelência, Sra. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Embaixadora da Tailândia no Brasil, juntamente com a Sra. Tipaporn Attasivanon, Primeira Secretária, visitaram a cidade de Foz do Iguaçu, localizada no estado do Paraná, no sul do Brasil. A economia do estado do Paraná é conhecida pelo turismo, energia hidrelétrica e agricultura.

Na ocasião, a Embaixadora Kundhinee se reuniu com o Sr. Petterson Gherlandi, Diretor de Relações Internacionais da Prefeitura de Foz do Iguaçu, na sede da Prefeitura. Ambas as partes trocaram ideias sobre como promover conjuntamente a cooperação nas áreas de gestão do turismo sustentável e o intercâmbio interpessoal por meio da educação. Além disso, a Embaixadora também aproveitou a oportunidade para realizar visitas técnicas à Usina Hidrelétrica de Itaipu, a fim de conhecer melhor a expertise e as melhores práticas brasileiras em desenvolvimento de energia renovável e conservação ambiental. Sua Excelência foi calorosamente recebida pelos executivos e pela equipe técnica de Itaipu.
